How to get to the Berghof Schöpf in Winnebach

The Berghof Schöpf is situated in a fantastic location in Winnebach above Gries, a district of the municipality of Längenfeld in the central Ötztal in Tyrol. Nestled in an impressive alpine landscape, our house is an ideal starting point for outdoor activities, whether in summer for hiking, climbing or mountain biking or in winter for cross-country skiing, ski tours and snowshoe hikes.
Despite the quiet and natural surroundings, Gries is easily accessible. Access is via Längenfeld, which is located directly on the Ötztal main road (B186).
Gries im Ötztal is easily accessible by car - both from Munich and Salzburg.
From Munich, take the A95 motorway towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, then the B179 Fernpass road and the A12 Inntal motorway to the Ötztal exit. From there, take the B186 into Ötztal and continue via Längenfeld to Gries.
Travellers from Salzburg take the A1 towards Wörgl, continue on the A12 towards Innsbruck and also take the Ötztal exit. The well-maintained B186 then leads directly to Gries im Ötztal.
Travel comfortably by train to the Ötztal railway station. From there, take the public bus or regional taxi to Längenfeld in Ötztal. From Längenfeld there are regular post buses or shuttle taxis that go directly to Gries.
Gries is the ideal starting point for mountain tours in the Ötztal Alps. The Berghof Schöpf is ideal for overnight stays. From here, tours lead to the Amberger Hütte, Winnebachseehütte or Hohe Geige - perfect for day and multi-day tours.
